AIRPORT VIP area

As part of an extension to the new Qatari airport in Doha, the renowned Eva York was given the task of designing the new VIP entrance, lobby and check-in. The Yahya Group was approached to propose lighting designs for the main areas as well as a modern moucharaby screen to protect the interiors from the strong sunlight whilst projecting delicate patterns onto the floor during the day. At night, it will be back and front-lit as an art-piece. The chandelier of concentric circles is inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and the mathematics that is inherent in the design of Nature.
